I started Whistle Stop Travel and Tours in 2026, about a year after retiring from teaching high school history. My love of geography, history, and travel make being a travel agent a perfect fit for me. My ability to coordinate, navigate obstacles, and discern when cheaper is not better (but sometimes it is!) make me a perfect fit for you.

I’ve always seen a trip as a puzzle to solve. Where are we going to go? How are we going to get there? What do we want to do there? How are are going to make sure we get to do it? With research and thinking (lots of thinking) the pieces of the puzzle begin to fit in place until the dream becomes a plan to execute.

Does every trip go as planned? Absolutely not. Sometimes the best moments of a trip are those unplanned experiences that just happen. But would I ever spend thousands of dollars on a vacation and not have a plan? Again, absolutely not.
